We’re happy to announce that our next meeting is Tuesday, May 14, at the Woman’s Club of Hollywood! This historic location was originally the Hollywood School for Girls, which opened in 1915. Students included a young Jean Harlow (then still Harlean Carpenter) and the daughters of Cecil B. DeMille, Louis B. Mayer and Edgar Rice Burroughs. Education – Heritage Square Museum
Heritage Square is a living history museum that tells the story of the early development of Southern California. Eight restored Victorian buildings-magnificent homes, a church, a railroad depot- moved from locations in the greater Los Angeles area, are preserved on the museum grounds. Along with the re-creation of the Colonial Drug Store, Heritage Square provides a setting for the Museum's educational programs, exhibitions, and special events.
